The story behind the story:
I was just about to call it quits. Then the arguing stopped and we didn't speak at all. One morning I found a little drawing on the back of my daily
calendar - and the rest is history!
Here are a few more pictures of the early days. Sorry, the scan-quality is rather poor, but you can make out the little ducklings in front of and their little girl friend Cookie-Mouse next to the palm tree.... and Croc reading CROCTALES.
We are currently trying to digitally remaster the pictures. We didn't want to bend the calendar too much while scanning because we were afraid, the 10 year old calendar might fall apart, but we still wanted to share at least a few of the early CROCTALES with you.
Here's the CROCTALES Easter Greeting 2002, re-done and partially colorized. How do you like it?
Another fond memory: Gone swimming in 2000, still in black and white, scanned from one of the calendar pages.
After watching "The Mask of Zorro" on video there was the following picture
Sometimes there was a theme like "Lucky Pals" and "Journey around the world" in 2001
"Winter Sports" in 2001-2002 (there is a little story about Croc & his pals going hangliding, among other winter activities)
"Golfing" in 2002 and again in 2003
2003 - book title "just moving in" all Florida Style with a.... DO-NUT-RECOUNT
and a Space Theme with an "Aliengator" visiting in 2007.
Of course there were always pictures relating to our daily life...
....or 1999: Cadillac & dream journey.... in early 2000: a very cool Croc reading in front of the pink Cadillac again
Now, going even further back.... to 1996 with a very young Croc, water skiing off the coast of Florida.
Before the CROCTALES series
started, it was little drawings on old fax reports, Croc only.
No ducklings and mouse, yet. Blue ink was later replaced by black.
Croc had a few extra pounds back then... so did my husband
